Prelinmary Study on Using Explants from Seeds of Calligonum Comosum In Vitro
Abstract
The seeds of Calligonum comosum were used during summar and winter seasons. Those seeds were divided into five groups; different responses were recorded for forming structures as 60% in the first group, 10% in the second group, 65% in the third group, 0% in the fourth group, and 70% in the fifth group. The structures changed to stems, with a range of length(1-4.30) cm with highest average of 3.10 cm. The responses during summer were 4.1%; when the parts of structures were cultured on MS+BA (1 mg/l) and MS+kin (1 mg/l), no responses were noticed, and only their color changed to dark brown after two weeks.
